One of my newest works, the music for the short film “The Story of O” by William Ruiz Morales, will premiere at the National Sawdust on March 6th as part of the concert for the Hildegard Commission winners.
For the last couple of months, I’ve been working with Grammy-winning and Academy Award-nominated composer Laura Karpman on the music for the short film starring my friend and collaborator Gabriela Burdsall. I’m very grateful to be mentored by Laura Karpman and for this wonderful opportunity from the National Sawdust to write film music, which I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I’m also grateful to my collaborators for the many years of making art together and their generosity, talent, and hard work.
The concert will feature works by the other four winners and the Hildegard Commission’s finalists and will be held on March 6th, 2025, at the National Sawdust in Brooklyn (80 North 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249).
