I’m happy to announce that my latest piece will premiere tonight, October 8, in Graz, Austria during the musikprotokoll festival.
The piece, commissioned by the festival, was written for the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn and Miroslav Beinhauer on the 6-th tone harmonium. This instrument was made for Alois Haba, Czech composer who had been fascinated by microtonal music and had worked with various microtonal tunings in his music.
I’m grateful for this wonderful opportunity to write for this unique instrument. Many thanks to musikprotokoll and (Christian Scheib & Fränk Zimmer) for the invitation, Ensemble for New Music Tallinn, Miroslav Beinhauer, and Georg Friedrich Haas for his ongoing support as a mentor.
