My new piece for flute, electronics and video written for Polish flutist Ania Karpowicz will premiere tomorrow, on Facebook, at 9:00 AM EST / 14:00 CET / 22:00 JST.
The premiere will be hosted by the Sacrum Profanum festival, which, this year, takes place entirely online and all of the events are pre-recorded.
For this project, I worked with my long-time collaborator Izumi Yoshida, who beautifully edited and animated the video. TOVA (Heb.) was initiated by Ania and consists of 4 audiovisual works by women, through which we discuss identity, different facets of womanhood, and the concepts of beauty.
The videos will also be shared on YouTube and Vimeo on October 30th.
